Dibenzoyl peroxide is a white granular,slightly bitter almond smell.Its CAS number is 94-36-0.It is a strong oxidizer,highly unstable and flammable.When impacted, heated or rubbed, it can explode.When sulfuric acid is added, combustion occurs.

Dibenzoyl peroxide is also known as BPO and Benzoyl peroxide.Dibenzoyl peroxide is the Unsaturated Polyester Resin curing initiator.It is also the rubber vulcanizing agent.

Application

 

Dibenzoyl peroxide is used as initiator for Unsaturated Polyester Resin curing and as initiator for Acrylic Resin polymerization.It is used as agent for silicone and fluororubber products crosslinking.It is also used for flour bleaching and oil refining.
